Cost Comparison per Cold Sore Treated
Before the launch of the Cold Sore Machine the only available over the counter treatments which had been clinically tested were topical antiviral agents such as Aciclovir. Patients would have to purchase a new tube of ointment/cream with each attack.
The Cold Sore Machine needs to be used at most twice per cold sore attack and the clinical evidence was based upon a single application.
The Cold Sore Machine will deliver 100 treatments (treats up to 50 cold sores using the recommended 2 treatment cycles).
